Triple Talaq – Struggling for its Existence Even in the Muslim Countries


 The term “Talaq” is Arabic verse which means “Divorce” in the English language. But proper meaning of “Talaq” stands for undoing or freeing the knot. The practice of “Triple Talaq” is really easy and simple. If husband or wife pronounces “Talaq” three times in a row, that will refer the complete breakdown of a marriage. 


The traditional method of ending a marriage in Muslims is now fighting for its own existence. Even there are many Muslim countries that have banned the “Triple Talaq”. In the year of 1956, a 7 members’ board has introduced the new marriage law in Pakistan that abolished this practice totally. It is also forbidden by law in the other Muslim countries like Bangladesh, Egypt, Syria, Iran, Iraq and more.
